On to Cape Horn and Beagle Channel

Margot writing:
5:15am in Santiago and we're getting ready for our flight out to Ushuaia in Tierra del Fuego, most Southern tip of Argentina (and South America). Read so much in the past about Cape Horn, the Beagle Channel and Drake's Passage and it is surreal in a way to see it today.
The flight down is approximately 3 hours and takes us across some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world. It is clear outside and we're having a window seat with camera ready.
Upon arrival, we're going on a wee sail to a seal's island in the Beagle Channel. Woollie hats are in our backpack. I feel giddy like a wee kid the night before her birthday.
The group of people on this trip is a bit different than I expect. Vast majority are retired. It looks like not that many people will be competing for the kayaks early morning once in Antarctica :-). Two kids on board: Callum and Robbie, and 12-year old from Sydney.
Met James Balog yesterday, one of the guest speakers on the trip, see http://www.jamesbalog.com. Incredible photographer. Looking forward to hearing from him.

Kaap Hoorn, we komen er aan!
